Curated by Zak Ové, Get Up, Stand Up Now celebrated 50 years of Black creativity in Britain and beyond. Beginning with the radical work of Horace Ové and his Windrush generation peers, and extending to today’s outstanding young Black talent worldwide, the exhibition united more than 110 artists across art, film, music, fashion and literature. Historic works and new commissions were shown alongside personal archives, tracing a collective history from the post-war era to the present in a richly multi-sensory experience.
